  • SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST
  • Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements)
  • Shift: 3x12 days (Sunday, Monday & Saturdays 0645-1915)
  • Types of Cases REQ: Busiest Service Lines: Ortho (2 years of exp/level 3 exp - including total joints (need strong ability in this)), Neuro (2 years of exp/level 3 exp - including craniotomies), Gen/Vasc, GYN/Uro, Robotics. Surg Tech needs to be comfortable in a level 2 trauma unit. They do need other skills for on-call duties (Craniotomy, vascular, General laparoscopy and cystoscopy). Scrubs must be able to function without a sales rep for: knees, hips, and if possible, shoulders. We perform high acuity ortho, neuro, and general cases at all times of the day as part of our Level 2 Trauma certification. Our Robot Team is on a journey to becoming a Robotic Center of Excellence. We currently deploy 3 Xi robots.
  • Number of Beds/Cases: 50-60 per day
  • Years of Experience REQ: Minimum three years of experience as a CST in Level 1-2 Trauma center. Spine, Crani, Uro, Robotics, General, Peds, Ortho Trauma, AAA and major Vascular required.
  • First-Timers Accepted: Travel experience preferred. Local candidates must have travel experience.
  • Weekend REQ: Yes, see shift above.
  • Certs REQ: CST & BLS; ACLS is preferred.
  • BLS REQ: Yes
  • Is on-call REQ? Yes, (4) 8-hour call shifts per 4-week cycle.
  • Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? No
  • Floating Req to Sister Facilities: No

  • Locals Accepted: Yes, but local candidates must have history of previous travel assignment with no issues.

  • Common Equipment: Doppler, ultrasound, Neptune, Aquamantis, Video Systems, Lasers, Various Stapling systems, Hana and Jackson tables.
  • STRONG EYE, AAA AND CRANIOTOMY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. AAAs, Carotids and Femoral cases are our most common vascular cases and require mastery right out of the gate.
