Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing
process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect
patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the
Oregon State Board of Nursing.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Ambulatory Surgery provides pre, intra and post op care to surgical
and procedural sedation patients. -We provide service for the
patient population of pediatrics, adolescents, adult and elderly
patients. -We work with a variety of provider specialties in caring
for people going home that day or are being admitted to the
hospital. -SLCH includes Endoscopy and non-surgical procedures
completed in the SDC unit.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required.
Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
LCH Surgery Ambulatory:
ACLS required within six (6) months of hire.

caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and

diverse patient populations. Ability to adjust actions in relation

issues. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive

with laws, regulations, or standards. Use knowledge and judgment
skills to determine whether events or processes comply.

multi-disciplinary team. Possess the knowledge and skills to
